Estúdio ARKIZ received the 1st Prize in the “Commercial Projects” category of the prestigious 2012 AsBEA Awards, conferred by the Brazilian Association of Architecture Offices, in São Paulo.
Estúdio ARKIZ received the IX Corporate Architecture Grand Prix, offered by FLEX Publishers, in the category “Hotel Projects” for the Aliah Hotel, as the best project of this type in Brazil in 2012.
Estúdio ARKIZ, in partnership with Hiperstudio, won a national competition to design the Aliah Hotel, an initiative to create the first Sustainable Hotel in Brazil. The hotel will be located in Bragança Paulista, and will include several design strategies in order to achieve high standards of environmental comfort and energy efficiency.
Estúdio ARKIZ received the ‘New Practices São Paulo 2011’ prize conferred by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and by the Institute of Architecture of Brazil to seven young architecture studios considered as ‘the country’s most promising’. These studios were then ivited to integrate an exhibition in the AIA Chapter in New York and at the 9th BIA in São Paulo.
Estúdio ARKIZ received a 2nd Prize in the National Architecture Competition for the Estate of Santa Catarina Public Library. The project stood out among more than 80 competitors in this competition, organized by the Culture Secretary of Santa Catarina and by the Institute of Architects of Brazil.
Estúdio ARKIZ received an Honorable Mention in the National Architecture Competition for the Paineiras Hotel Complex, located near the Christ the Redeemer monument in Rio de Janeiro. The project stood out among more than 120 submissions judged by the competition organizer, Instituto Chico Mendes - Ministry of the Environment.
Project designed by Estúdio ARKIZ for an office building in the city of Piura, in Peru, has been awarded an Honorable Mention in an International Architecture Competition sponsored by the Peruvian developer ESPARQ, among more than 150 projects designed by architects from around 40 countries.
Project submitted by Estúdio ARKIZ received an Honorable Mention in a National Architecture Competition for the Information Center of the Petrochemical Complex of Rio de Janeiro (COMPERJ). The competition, sponsored by PETROBRAS and by the Institute of Architects of Brazil, counted with more than 120 competing proposals.
