This beach resort is located on a private island in Bahia, in the northeastern region of Brazil, in a 125-acres site. Respecting local traditions and the natural environment, the project intends to establish a new paradigm in hospitality, bringing visitors closer to nature and to the daily life and culture of the region, providing an unique and special holiday experience.
The project consists of groups of 800 ft² bungalows, 1600 ft² houses, restaurants, swimming pools and spa. The masterplan arranges these spaces in accordance to the natural topography, creating a new and exuberant landscape. The search for more sustainable buildings and lower energy consumption is achieved through the adoption of passive ventilation techniques and the optimization of natural lighting, and is also made explicit through the use of natural regional materials, with the aim of minimizing the overall impact of the development.
