This house is located in a suburban community in the countryside of Vinhedo, São Paulo. It occupies a sloping site, with beautiful views towards a verdant golf course. The design conceptually splits the program in two blocks according to its functional characteristics, rearranging them in accordance to the topography and to the daily activities of the residents.
The first block, located on the ground floor, concentrates the living quarters and the service facilities, while the second floor, located on an upper level, is occupied by an independent guesthouse. A central courtyard appears as a result of the superposition of the two blocks, creating an introspective space for the intimate sphere of the family while still keeping openness and permeability to the surrounding green areas. The horizontality of the architectural language transpires lightness and acts as a transitional extension of the landscape.
