Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
This project for the headquarters of the Olympic Golf Course, developed for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, incorporates the great responsibility of hosting a sports competition of worldwide renown, as well as symbolizing a synthesis of an ideal relation between architecture and landscape.
Located next to the Parque Municipal Ecológico Marapendi, in Barra da Tijuca, the relation between the building and the place is one in which the architecture submits, in an act of reverence, to the protagonism of the iconic landscape of Rio de Janeiro. The architectural language adopted is subtle, responding to essentials and timeless values of architecture, such as transparency, shadow, visual.
