ThIs project was developed for a national competition for the Headquarters of SEBRAE, in Brasília, Brazil. SEBRAE is a governmental institution whose aim is to promote entrepreneurship and assist the development of micro and small-sized companies. However, since its creation during the mid-70s, the institution was housed in improvised spaces, and this competition was organized in order to finally provide SEBRAE with a building of its own.
Being an institution devoted to promoting ideals such as innovation, efficiency and professional commitment, this proposal for SEBRAE’s headquarters intends to embody and manifest such values. In this way, the building prioritizes functionality and sustainable strategies that promote energy economy and water reuse. At the same time, as a public institution it is also solemn and inviting, monumental and receptive in order to express its public function and relevance.
