In 2015 Brazil had a prominent position at Mipim, “the world’s leading property market”, held between March 10 and 13 in Cannes, France. The project, created under the banner of "Built by Brazil", gathered six of the country’s main architecture offices: Arkiz (São Paulo), Edo Rocha Arquiteturas (São Paulo), Triptyque Architecture (São Paulo), Slomp & Busarello Arquitetos (Paraná), Fernandes Arquitetos Associados (São Paulo) and GPA&A Gustavo Penna Arquiteto e Associados (Minas Gerais) – to exhibit projects at a place where the most influential decision makers of the real estate sector meet.
Built by Brazil is a partnership between Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and AsBEA (Brazilian Association of Architecture Offices), which aims at promoting the opening of foreign markets to Brazilian architecture as a whole. The participation of Built by Brazil at Mipim, which received 21,000 participants in its last edition, was a strategic move to achieve the country’s goals of increasing the representativeness of the sector abroad and the number of exports of products and services.
